Six students in all Central Texas High Schools were named National Merit semifinalists for 2009-2010. Half of these attend Vanguard school.

The class of 2010 had an average SAT score of 1255 (critical reading and math combined). This is 27% higher than the average for Texas (992).

— With 37 state championships, Vanguard owns more team state titles than any other private or parochial school in Central Texas.

Our literary magazine, Liquid Paper, won a 2009 Gold Medal with Columbia Scholastic Press Association, 1st Place with Special Merit with American Scholastic Press Association, and was ranked ”excellent“ by the National Council for Teachers of English.
