We appreciate your interest in Vanguard College Preparatory School. Here are the steps you should take to apply for admission.
- Call the Admissions Office and let us know you are interested in Vanguard. We will be glad to set up an appointment for you or to mail you our Prospective Student Packet.
- Complete the Vanguard application for admission (included in the Prospective Student Packet). Mail or deliver it to the Admissions Office at Vanguard.
- Request that your school send a complete transcript and educational test results directly to Vanguard. Any independent test results are also requested.
- Give the teacher recommendation form (included in the Prospective Student Packet) to one of your teachers. Ask that teacher to complete and mail it to the Admissions Office as soon as possible. We highly recommend that you provide your teacher with a stamped envelope addressed to the Vanguard Admissions Office. (See address below.)
- Send a writing sample to the Admissions Office. This can be an essay or research paper written for a class at school. Or it can be an original piece written on the form included in the application.
- Make an appointment for a campus tour and visit with the Admissions Director. Prospective students may also make an appointment to spend a day 'shadowing' a Vanguard student.
- Make an appointment with the Admissions Director to take the Otis Lennon School Abilities standardized test. This can be scheduled during school or after school on week days.
- Make an appointment for an official admissions interview. This may take place with either the Admissions Director, the Head of School, or both. The applicant and at least one parent should attend the interview.
- NOTE - When the applicant's file is complete, it will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. At that time, you will be contacted. If an admissions contract is offered, you will have 14 days to return the signed contract with the deposit in order to reserve the applicant's place.
