Head of School
Introducing Our New Interim Head of School
Mr. Zach Seifert

The Board of Trustees announced on Monday, April 20, 2026, the appointment of Mr. Zach Seifert as Interim Head of School at Vanguard College Preparatory School.
A respected leader in independent school governance, Mr. Seifert has served Vanguard in a variety of faculty and administrative roles over the past 18 years. He is also currently completing his second term as Board President at another local independent school.
Vanguard has been far more than a workplace for Mr. Seifert; it has been a second home. He has had the privilege of serving this community in many roles, including coach, teacher, mentor, Dean of Students, and, most recently, Associate Head of School for Academics. Mr. Seifert played an instrumental role during the pandemic, helping to ensure Vanguard’s continued success.
Mr. Seifert’s Viking pride runs deep, and he is genuinely committed to our students, faculty, staff, and families.
Mr. Seifert will continue to lead with transparency, steadiness, and a focus on what has always defined Vanguard: strong relationships, high expectations, and a belief in every student's potential. Since 1973, Vanguard has been focused on being a strong community that prepares young people for their future.
