Zach Seifert Head of School
The Vanguard College Preparatory School Board of Trustees has named Zach Seifert Head of School, continuing his longstanding leadership and service to Vanguard.
Seifert has served Vanguard for 19 years in a variety of faculty, coaching, and administrative roles, including teacher, coach, Dean of Students, Associate Head of School for Academics, and most recently, Interim Head of School. His extensive experience across the School has given him a deep understanding of Vanguard’s students and families, faculty and staff, programs, traditions, and culture.
Throughout his career at Vanguard, Seifert has focused his leadership on strong relationships, high expectations, teamwork, academic excellence, and creating an environment in which students are known, challenged, and supported. His commitment to working alongside and supporting Vanguard’s faculty and staff has also been central to his leadership.
As Head of School, Seifert will lead Vanguard in advancing its mission of preparing students for academic success and fulfilling lives while remaining grounded in the School’s core values of Rigor, Respect, and Responsibility.
“After nearly two decades of serving Vanguard, Mr. Seifert brings a deep understanding of what makes our School special and a clear vision for its future,” said Casey Rollins, Chair of the Vanguard College Preparatory School Board of Trustees. “He knows and values the culture, traditions, and relationships that define the Vanguard experience, and he has demonstrated the leadership to build upon that strong foundation. The Board has great confidence in Mr. Seifert and looks forward to Vanguard’s next chapter under his leadership.”
Seifert expressed both his commitment to Vanguard and his enthusiasm for the School’s future. “I believe deeply in Vanguard, in our mission, and in the people who make this School exceptional,” Seifert said. “It is a tremendous honor to serve as Head of School and to lead alongside our talented faculty and staff as we continue providing an exceptional education that prepares our students for what comes next. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to building on Vanguard’s strengths while thoughtfully advancing our School for the future.”
Seifert’s vision for Vanguard honors the School’s strong traditions while looking ahead to opportunities to strengthen the student experience, support and equip faculty, advance academic excellence, and build upon the foundation that has distinguished Vanguard for more than 50 years.
He knows Vanguard. He believes in Vanguard. He has helped shape Vanguard. And now he will lead Vanguard forward.

Family Connection
- My wife, Ana, has been the steady foundation behind everything I do, spending the past 18 years working nights as a respiratory therapist at Baylor Scott & White, caring for patients with incredible dedication. Our daughter, Landrie, has grown up alongside the Vanguard community and is often seen on campus and at sporting events, proudly cheering on her Vikings. She currently attends Waco Montessori School and looks forward to the day when she will someday become a Vanguard Viking.
Favorite Part of the Job
- I love the relationships that make Vanguard special and the chance to see students grow, succeed, and find their confidence along the way.
Hobbies
- In my free time, I enjoy following my favorite teams, especially the Baylor Bears, as well as playing golf and spending time cooking.

- I lead with a focus on relationships and believe that strong teamwork enables people and organizations to thrive.
