  • 1973: Vanguard opens on September 4 with 106 students

    • Dr. Louis Bright, President of the Western Institute of Science and Technology (WIST)
    • Dr. Jerry Vincent, Director of Education at WIST
    • Dr. Abner McCall, President of Baylor University and first Chairman of the Board
